The team’s skill-base brings considerable capabilities to a small and dynamic company, allowing it to compete and exceed the in-house capabilities of many of the, more established larger brands. Over 25 years of combined F1 experience has gone into the development of the Saker.

Arbr was founded in 2013 by Robert Barr who is an Engineer and Designer with a background that covers over 10 years of suspension design in Formula 1 as well as projects for MotoGP and World Superbikes. A combination of broad professional experience and a passion for cycling has given Rob the inspiration and knowledge to create such a unique bicycle, transforming his initial concept into reality.
Rob heads up the Operational and Engineering activities and is supported by Jon Stevens and Andrew Brabyn who between them take care of the Commercial and Marketing activities. Both Jon and Andrew have extensive experience in their areas of expertise having worked with some of the biggest names in the Industry. Above all they love to ride and develop bikes.

Manufacturing and Quality is the responsibility of Jason Thompson whose professional background covers composite manufacturing for Aerospace, Automotive and a multitude of Motorsport categories, which include Formula 1, Indycar, Le Mans and GT cars. The expertise that Jason holds is a key differentiator when it comes to the manufacturing and component quality we are able to offer with each of our frames.
